OUR PHILOSOPHY

Created from a philosophy that furniture lasts longer when they support a multifunctional way of living,
we design furniture that adapts – to time and to you.

by KlipKlap was founded in 2011 by Pia Lauritsen with a vision to create multifunctional furniture in designs and materials that last for many years. It originated from Pia’s personal need for a playmat to use with her children. Therefore, she designed the original KK 3 Fold that stimulates children’s motor skills and encourage to active play.

The original folding mattress from 2011 turned out to be a versatile piece of furniture and by KlipKlap's Kids Collection has since then been expanded with many more models, all made in high quality textiles and 35 kg OEKO-TEX® 100 certified cold cure foam. All our multifunctional mattresses have that in common that they can be folded in a variety of ways, encouraging to many hours of activities and quality time with the youngest family members. And when the children outgrow their foldables, they double as lounge sofas and guest beds. Today, by Klipklap is represented worldwide.

In 2015, by KlipKlap extended the assortment with a Living Collection, containing designs in exclusive materials and same focus on products that fulfills multiple interior purposes. Our Living Collection offers practical and multifunctional furniture that still retains a homogeneous and aesthetic design language. The collection originates in a fascination for the 1950s and 60s Scandinavian design heritage, reinterpreted in a contemporary and modern feel. Rounded curves recur in all the pieces in the Living Collection, providing a more harmonic and organic expression when placed together. A plethora of cushion choices, textile qualities and colours allows you to customise the furniture exactly to your liking.
