KK Kids Chair/XL

All KK Kids Chairs are made from 35 kg cold foam certified according to OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and durable textiles. The upholstery is NOT removable.

Cleaning: The chairs should be cleaned regularly by vacuuming with a soft brush and if necessary, stain removal.

For stain removal, you use a clean, well-wrung cloth, optionally with a neutral soap. It is important that you only use a moderate amount of water when removing stains because excessive water can cause moisture damage in the foam. You can place a tea towel in between the foam and the textile. In addition, it is important to make a damp ring of an appropriate size around the stain to prevent subsequent discoloration. Always vacuum the entire piece of furniture prior to stain removal.

KK 3 fold/XL, KK 3 fold single, KK 3 fold sofa, KK 4 fold and KK Square

All mattresses from by KlipKlap are made from 35 kg cold foam certified according to OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and durable textiles. Below you will find instructions on how to maintain all our mattresses, both in terms of cleaning and adjusting the upholstery.

Since all mattresses are upholstery furniture (foam covered in textile), there is a probability that the foam and upholstery will dislocate over time. This is completely normal for upholstery furniture, and it is easy to readjust yourself. In cooperation with our upholsterer, we have created a video showing you how. Watch here:

The upholstery is removable on all mattresses, but this requires you to cut off the buttons and sew them back on afterwards. Furthermore, you should be quite gentle with the zips when the upholstery is taken off and put back on again. Especially when you put the upholstery back on, it is important that one person holds the zip close together while another person slowly zips it back up. Taking off the upholstery should be limited to an absolute minimum and ideally be avoided altogether. Always try thorough stain removal first.

In terms of cleaning the mattress, you should be aware which textile you have chosen. Find information on all textiles and the recommended cleaning below. For all textiles, however, we highly recommend regular vacuuming with a soft brush and stain removal with water and neutral soap if necessary.

KK Daybed, KK Bench and KK Console table

Seeing as wood is a natural material, all our wooden furniture is unique, and wood grain is a natural part of this. The wood may experience particularly big color changes in the beginning which is why it can be a good idea to let all surfaces be uncovered the first couple of months. This way, you avoid discoloration from for instance vases or the like. Be aware that direct sunlight will enhance color changes in the wood. KK Daybed, KK Bench and KK Console are designed for indoor use only. Wipe off spilt liquids immediately to avoid discolorations and other irregularities in the wood.

Oiled oak

The oiled surface provides the wood with a dirt and water-repelling effect which protects the wood and gives an elegant finish. The oil also helps the oak wood maintain its bright color. The piece of furniture should be oiled again as needed to prevent the wood from drying out. Use white pigmented wood oil, and follow the instructions for use. Do not pour oil directly on the furniture.

Cleaning: Wiping off with a clean cloth which is either dry or well-wrung in soapy water. You should preferably use soap flakes and wipe off right away with a dry cloth.
